An old man with many gray hairs wanted to teach his grandson a lesson and told him this story:
There was a mule in the forest that all the animals thought was crazy. It’s not really that she was crazy, but that she was stubborn and obstinate, like all mules. But this one came up with nothing less than trying to move a huge rock. It was twice his size and so heavy that there was no human way to move it, even if ten men pushed together. But that didn’t matter to her, because since she was little she was taught that he who perseveres wins.
So every day he would get up early and walk over to the stone and start headbutting it. Boom! He who perseveres triumphs, and he came back, boom! He who perseveres triumphs. Of course her head ached, but she didn’t care, she was determined to move the stone.

     The other animals saw her and laughed at her. The owl, who was very intelligent, calculated, not even headbutting a thousand times a day and breaking his head, there is no way to move that stone. The fox, who was also very cunning, said: one can be stubborn, but one has to realize when things are possible or not.The fox and the owl were right on a level of logical reasoning, but the mule didn’t care about logic or math or physics. She set out to move the stone at any cost. Every day in the forest you could hear the noise of that big head colliding. Some approached to persuade her, like the bull: dear, I am much stronger than you, I have moved big things, and I am sure that you will not be able to move it. Give up, you’re going to break your brain. Don’t be so rude if you can’t, you can’t. The mule would stop for a moment and listen, say thank you, but then continue butting its head.

    Every day he got up earlier to go crash his big rock with an intense passion, calluses had grown on his head and he was even growing muscles from the effort. Suddenly a goat felt motivated by so much determination, or perhaps he felt pity, he didn’t know the exact reason, but he decided to help her. Then she joined her and between the two they began to hit that stone that every day was more stone and less moved.But then another goat came who was friends with the first one and started to help too. There were some small striped boars playing in the mud, they thought it was a game, and they also joined in pushing. The boar fathers also came. That day was unique. The stone did not move, but the universe moved in favor of that intention. The monkeys, the turtles, and even a strong bear who ordered everyone to separate to try it alone joined. But nothing moved from that rock. Every day new animals were added and the task was so great that there was room for everyone. The animals stopped laughing, and stopped saying that she was crazy, they should all be called crazy.

     It became a ritual to get up in the morning and go on that impossible mission until one of those mornings a torrential rain began to fall, and it was not possible to leave, but the next day, when they arrived at the place, the owl that watched everything from a branch Nearby, something occurred to him. He knew that it was impossible to move it, physics is very exact, but now, with the wet ground, perhaps something could be invented. And he suggested to start digging in front of the rock. Immediately, the beavers and anteaters came, the rock was buried, but it was not that deep. They dug and dug until they made a path the width of the rock ahead of her.
    Then everyone braced for a final push and counted:
One, two and three… And they pushed with all their might.
As if by magic, the rock spun out the way they had made in front of her. The mule jumped with happiness. He was shouting: we made it, we made it, and there was such a hubbub in the forest that everyone was smiling.

    There are times when things can seem impossible. But the forces of nature are not all appreciated. What differentiates a winner is that he keeps trying. It doesn’t matter what other people think, it doesn’t matter that someone smarter comes along and tells you that you can’t, it doesn’t matter that someone stronger comes along and tells you that you can’t. Because you are unique, and within you there is a force as powerful as a hurricane. You will not always see the way to achieve your goals, you will not always be able to visualize the way to achieve them, but if you keep your passion, the universe cannot resist your impetus, those around you will not be able to resist the desire to help you, the magic will make it rain if necessary to light the way. Keep insisting. Persevere! Even if it seems impossible.
